This morning I lead a live meditation through Zoom, and we did the mountain meditation by Jon Kabat-Zinn.  JKZ is the father of modern-day mindfulness, and the founder of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course and he wrote this mediattion as part of this 8 week mindfulness course.

The mountain meditation is particularly relevant at this time as it uses the analogy of a strong mountain that has to endure constant changes, some good, some bad.  In the wake of all the batterings it endures, it stands strong and still and allows it all to pass, and takes none of it personally.

In all our lives we enjoy and endure a full range of weather conditions. Finding the strength to keep an even keel across all events is a skill that builds our resilience.
